Lifeline Melbourne is a telephone counselling service for people in crisis. Every year, more than 120,000 calls are made to Lifeline Melbourne. Lifeline Melbourne needs to train 240 new volunteer telephone counsellors this year to ensure the service is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It costs more than $850,000 each year to provide this vital service – government funding amounts to $540,000. We rely on public generosity to fund the gap. You can donate online at www.wesley.org.au.
